Firefighter’s Parade Entry Information

When and Where

The Firefighter’s Parade is held on Friday the week of the Lawn Party (Friday, July 17, 2015). Lineup begins on the corner of Main Street and Old River Road next to Marshalls. Marching groups or anyone who walks the parade must meet across from Marshalls.

Parade Rules

There will be no exceptions to these rules. Anyone violating the rules will be ask to leave the parade and will not be asked to return in future years. We want you and your audience to enjoy the parade, but safety is our primary concern.

  • Commercial entries are limited to one piece per business.
  • Customized vehicles are not permitted unless advertising.
  • Trailers, including construction trailers, are prohibited.
  • Fire and Rescue entries are limited to two pieces of equipment per organization.
  • Fire and Rescue entries are not permitted to sound sirens and/or air horns.
  • Throwing candy and/or other objects is not permitted but may be distributed by hand.
  • No one is permitted to stop or slow down the parade to perform at any time, including in front of the judges.
  • Organizations and horse entries must display a group name to be judged.

 Awards

Prizes will be awarded at 9:00 p.m. at the bandstand on the Lawn Party grounds. Entrants must be present to receive prizes. Prizes will not be mailed or delivered. Majorette group checks will be mailed within 7 to 10 days.
