Firefighter Josh Lee
For a day or life,
Firefighter L.E. (Eddie) Caracofe Killed in the line of duty while fighting a mutual-aid arson fire at Jess's Quick Lunch, 22 South Main St., Harrisonburg, VA on June 21, 1979. Eddie's oldest son, Chris, is a firefighter with Mt. Solon Volunteer Fire Company.
On October 28, 2006, a memorial service was held
honoring the life of Firefighter Caracofe.
Chief Wayne Stoutamyer Shot to death in the line of duty on May 25, 1976, while serving as a police officer for the Town of Bridgewater. At the time of Wayne's murder, he was Fire Chief of the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company.
On September 15, 2006, a memorial service was held
honoring the life of Chief Stoutamyer.
